‘No Guts - No Glory!’ The markings painted on a P-47D Thunderbolt. The original was flown by Lt. Col. Ben I. Mayo, C.O. of the 82nd FS 78th FG, from Duxford Air Base in the UK. A warbird P-47D in these markings was operated for many years by The Fighter Collection at Duxford, helping keep history alive.
